The main problem is that the plant produces a lot of flowers but all of the fall off, I haven't gotten a single pepper yet. A few months ago the peppers leaves turned yellowish but i fixed that problem with coffee grounds and fertiliser. I keep it in a medium pot next to my apartment window. It has grown a lot and is now around 6 feet tall. I got it from a local farm that specializes in peppers and pepper products but they weren't very helpful with my problem. I bought a small reaper plant in early May this year.

Kirk has always been very helpful with providing growing tips.Hi group. My Reaper seeds have produced huge plants packed with peppers.

I' ve been buying from you guys from years and I' m never disappointed. AAAīeen buying from you guys for years and you never disappoint, appreciate everything! I received my order promptly, and in excellent condition. I have several plants that have many pods, all of which have grown true to what they were advertised as. This past year I bought the Carolina Reaper seeds along with several others and continue to be impressed with the quality seeds at a reasonable price. I' ve been ordering from them for several grow seeds and always find a new variety that I' m interested in growing. My seeds have sprouted, thanks!!! Plus, thanks for the extra seeds!!!! :) :) :)Īfter being the victim of a pepper seed scam (the seeds did not grow into what they were being advertised as), I found Tyler Farms. Believe it or not, the peppers will be featured in a beer brewed by one of the biggest brewers in Colorado! I just harvested the peppers that I grew from your seeds form last year. Out of 40 seeds planted, 40 sprouted into gorgeous, huge, beautiful plants with bright red, and very hot, peppers! These guys know what they are doing and are super helpful! Highly recommended! WOW! strong! beautiful plants and most colorful peppers! But please! one word of caution, do NOT give these peppers to any one who is not a truly pepper pro! these guys are NUCLEAR hot! and EXTREMELY good tasting! on a scale of 1 to 10 these rate a modest ELEVEN! '11' yes 11 blew the scale away! the plant was 6ft tall and producing the most insanely HOT and brightest color peppers EVER! and ALL whom I have given peppers have the same comment, THE HOTTEST THING EVER! those whom I gave the plants to. THEY GROW! once you pass the 5inch height, move them to a pot with dirt, no more incubation pod, they went berserk! they caught so well that in no time flat they did the Y split! I cropped them (even though they were flowering and it hut to cut them) and they totally spread out! before I knew it. but I planted them ALL and they ALL caught! WHAT IN THE WORLD was I going to do with SO many plants! that is just one. OK Here' s the deal, I got into this because I was looking for the ultimate hot pepper and somehow I stumbled across this site, got the Carolina Reaper seeds and the whole thing started!įirst, the seeds from Tyler Farms are TEN Star quality, I got I don' t know how many. The Carolina Reaper pepper was crossed with Jay’s Peach Ghost Scorpion pepper to create the California Reaper, which was originally developed by Steve Bender at Tyler Farms. The Carolina Reaper resembles the 7 Pot Primo pepper. The Carolina Reaper starts off green and ripens to red, reaching about 1.5 to 2 inches in total length. Like Trinidad Scorpionvarieties, the Carolina Reaper has a scorpion-like tail. The pepper was originally developed by Ed Currie, who crossed a Red Habanero with a Ghost pepper. There’s a lot more flavor to the Carolina Reaper than most extremely hot peppers. The taste of the Carolina Reaper is described as fruity and sweet, but the intense heat level kicks in shortly after consumption. To put it in perspective, the Carolina Reaper is about 175 times hotter than the hottest Jalapeno. In November 2013, the Guinness Book of World Records named the Carolina Reaper as the new hottest pepper in the world, replacing the Trinidad Moruga Scorpion. The Carolina Reaper pepper averages 1,569,300 Scoville Heat Units (SHU) and some peppers have been tested over 2,200,000 SHU, which is hotter than typical pepper spray. The Carolina Reaper is currently the hottest pepper in the world, according to Guinness World Records.
